a Hands-free Umbrella

-have you ever thought an umbrella can be used without holding them ?

-an umbrella that can stop the wind from splashing the rain to your face, head & shoulders ?

-an umbrella that allows you to walk in the rain while you sipping your coffee/eating your burger/carrying your brief case and talking on phone at the same time ?

("without carrying the umbrella meh ?") -YES

by Alan Kaufman, the inventor, he succeeded inventing the "Nubrella" (new+umbrella).
it's the first truly hands free umbrella in the world.
with pending "shoulder straps" and "offset handle" of the Nubrella ensures that one can be completely hands free.
Alan claims that the Nubrella also promises to never invert in a wind, so no more sudden drenchings.
a cool umbrella with no sharp points, poles or rods and you don't have to hold it.
in fact, you WEAR IT.
how to, you asked ?!

Cool huh ?!
if you were to wear it on streets, will you dare to wear ?
i don't think i will lor.
i'll definitely look like an idiot.
and i find the design looks abit like an "astronaut". LOL

oh, and another thing is hor, if for couple how ?

a Pet-friendly vehicle ??

is there anyone how rear dogs and drives having problems getting your pet on car ?
are your problems suit the following :

  • takes up space (be it in carriers / arms)
  • scared it might hurt itself when car's cornering/braking
  • keeps fidgeting
  • think your pet's feeling uncomfortable
  • having difficulties if you wanna travel your big dogs out

now, our problems can be solved~!!
thanks to new Honda creation of "Honda W.O.W"
W.O.W stands for Wonderful Open-hearted Wagon. (open-hearted uh)
it's uniquely designed to provide total comfort to us and our pets while travelling.

it has 3 rows of thin designer seats, taking up to 6-passenger.
the two 2nd-row seats can transform into a large crate for bigger dogs.
it's designed with a very low center of gravity so our pets won't shoot from one side to another when you're cornering.
it also has 2 swing doors in the rear and a path to walk all the way to the front without climbing over seats.

Interior :

isn't that wonderful for us pet-lovers ?!
Honda's succeed being a pet-friendly manufacturer and captured our or in fact MY ATTENTION.
and it's indeed like it's model's name. -WOW~!!

it's so cool lah.
when, when Singapore's gonna allow and import this car ?!
or maybe i import myself, since i'm doing importing too. (those who knows what job i'm doing will understand) hiak hiak hiak~ =x

2007 & 2008 concept cars.

Top 8 concept cars of 2008 @ Geneva Motor Show

1. Audi R8 V12 TDI

"Under the hood is a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 diesel producing 500hp and 740ft/lbs of torque, the latter of which is ready at only 1500RPM."

2. Suzuki A-Star

"the A-Star has a small conventional gasoline powerplant that is "very efficient" and "very clean." Plans to produce for India are in the near future and the far future is unclear."

3. Renault Twingo RS

"a 1.6L inline-4 cranking 133hp. The suspension and chassis have also been slightly modified to offer a more crisp response through the turns."

4. Renault Megane

"A pair of scissor doors are among the design points."
(a much more detailed Megane concept.)

5. Maserati Chicane

"Although beautiful, the Chicane technically isn't a Maserati. The original design was created by art students studying at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). Several designs were collected and this one was chosen to be showcased by Maserati. However, Maserati is working on a smaller coupe for future production, perhaps the Chicane?"
(my choice for 2008. CHIO~!! think chio-er than my choice in 2007 lor) lol

6. Saab 9-X

"Power is provided from a 1.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces an impressive 200 horsepower while running E85. Estimates put about 47 miles to every gallon."

7. Pininfarina Sintesi

"Four fuel cells provide power to all 4 corners and give the sleek car a 0-60mph time of 7.5 seconds. To recharge, a combination of solar panels and regenerative braking are used. When running in sport mode, the Sintesi is said to top out at 155mph."

8. Giugiaro Quaranta

"The engine is mounted in the center of the vehicle and the hybrid powers all 4 wheels. The interior is roomy and comfortable, which makes carrying the family around easier."

Top 10 concept cars of 2007 @ Tokyo Motor Show

1. Mitsubishi Concept ZT

"a 2.2 liter "clean diesel" engine that reportedly offers the same performance of a 4.0 liter gasoline engine." (a more luxury based vehicle, with clean lines and a classy look)

2. Honda CR-Z

"CRZ = Compact Renaissance Zero"

3. Suzuki Kizashi-2

"Back in September and Frankfurt, we caw the first version of the Kizashi. Number 2 has gone through some restyling on the front end and got some bigger tires and wheel flares to match. The most interesting point is the 3.6 liter V-6 under the hood." (i like the rims~)

4. Lexus LF-A

"a V-10 making over 500 horsepower to the rear-wheels; the front-engine rear-wheel drive setup combined with increased aerodynamics will put their baby into the 200mph plus category." (my choice for 2007)

5. Volvo ReCharge

"the Volvo ReCharge uses a standard power outlet to recharge onboard batteries, which offers a 100Km range. For longer trips, a 1.6 liter flexfuel engine is used to run a generator that recharges the batteries. Volvo claims a 66% decrease of CO2 emissions, which comes from a setup known as a series hybrid. In such a design, there is no mechanical connection between the motor and the wheels. Volvo will be using a C30 as a test platform."

6. VolksWagon Space Up

"the Space-Up offers more room and an extra set of doors. The engine remains between the rear wheels of the car where the power is sent."

7. Audi Metroproject Quattro

"a TSI (Turbo + Supercharger" engine providing power to the front wheels. Coupled with that are electric motors that drive the rear wheels making it an AWD....I think. Another selling-point is Audi's Mobile Electronic Device that is housed in the dash. It is basically a PDA which allows owners to access some of the car's systems remotely, assuming they are within range."

8. Subaru Exiga

"a 7-passenger for quite some time and what better to use as a platform than the popular Legacy. As with most of Subaru's cars, it comes with AWD and the boxer motor, a 2.0 liter turbo actually. The interior can only be described as "open," which comes from a 360 degree view thanks to a mostly glass roof and windows in every direction. To complete the view is an 8-view monitor system tucked into the dash and highly aerodynamic mirrors mid way up the front door pillars."

9. Honda DN-01

"a 680cc V-Twin made by Deauville. It is connected to a hydraulically driven transmission which offers better performance compared to a standard transmission. The DN-01 is also equipped with a push-button gear-change system which allows you to swap your gear ratios."

10. Daihatsu OCF-1

"It rides on 17 inch wheels and is powered by a 660cc 3 cylinder. A turbo is also in place to help out at red-lights and stop signs. A CVT Transmission routes power to the ground which should help out the 0-60 time. It uses a power-retractable top with glass inserts to give a roomy feeling, even then the top is up. You can also adjust the opacity via a switch that controls the integrated LCD sunshade technology."

so far of all, i've know and heard of all of the above makes.
only Pininfarina & Giugiaro, i've yet to heard bout them.
i'm starting to get interested in their designs and models.
as you can see, their designs are brought to a sexy and eye-catching concept.
cool lor~ seeing these cars make me soooo tempted.
but comparing to 2007 & 2008 i preferred the models in 2007. (don't ask me why, i don't know either.)
till then, can't wait till next year's. x))
